Feitoria wins Michelin Star

The Feitoria Restaurant won a Michelin Star for the 9th consecutive year in Portugal and Spain Guide 2020.

Congratulations to the Chef João Rodrigues and all the fantastic team.

Honorable Mention of Tourist Merit

It was 16 personalities and institutions that have been honored that have affirmed Tourism in Portugal in the areas from the accessibility to the hotel, local accommodation, catering, tourism animation, accessible tourism, building destinations and permanent innovation.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Altis Hotels, Raul Martins was one of the distinguished personalities of the Government with a Gold Merit Tourist Merit medal, for his more than 40 years of connection to the sector, both as an entrepreneur and in recognition of his associative work developed at AHP and other associations on behalf of AHP.

This initiative took place in the Ministry of Economy and marked the beginning of the celebrations in Portugal of the World Tourism Day to distinguish individuals and institutions, national or foreign, that contributed in a relevant way to the development of national tourism and to the recognition of Portugal as a tourist destination.

Urban Waste

The Lisbon City Council signed the partnership agreement with Altis Hotels, among others, Azad Lda, the Association of Hoteliers of Portugal, Turismo de Lisboa and the Sociedade Ponto Verde for the implementation of URBAN-WASTE. Two of the main objectives are to reduce 2.5% of total urban waste produced by tourists and increase the separation of recyclable materials by 40%.

Fernando Cardoso, from the Feitoria restaurant, is Chef of the year 2018

It was at the Arroios Market that the National Final of the 29th Chef Cook of the Year contest was held, and for the first time live and open to the public.

The menu that Fernando Cardoso presented to the jury in the National Final was composed by Açorda of eggs, coriander and onions in tannery (entrance); Peas, bivalves and turbot (fish); Lamb, Seia cheese and roasted potatoes (meat); Dreams of pumpkin (dessert) and Caldeirada de cherne (traditional dish in pot / oven).

We congratulate Carlos Gonçalves, head chef of Corinthia Lisbon Hotel for 2nd place and Jorge Fernandes of Iberostar Lisboa, for 3rd place.

In the jury group were the chefs Alexandre Silva (restaurant LOCO), António Bóia (JnCquoi), Leonel Pereira (São Gabriel), Pedro Lemos (Pedro Lemos), Ricardo Costa (The Yeatman). In the honorary jury was the chief Orlando Esteves. The 29th Chef Cook of the Year competition is officially sponsored by Makro, Norge, Icel and Estrella Damm.

The Official Products are Brasmar (National Octupus), Bom Sucesso (Rice) and Lava (Pots and Trays). It is organized by Edições do Gosto and by Inter Magazine.
