Where Cafeteria Mensagem got its name
This is where we hear the intriguing tale of the Rhinoceros famously drawn by Albrecht Dürer which refers to another chapter of the Age of Discovery depicting the exotic worlds which Portugal discovered and a magical time when King D. Manuel presented this exotic creature to Pope Leo X as a peace offering in the name of Christianity. This anecdote sets the tone for a delicious meal in a unique atmosphere and environment that invites us to rediscover the Discoverers with a stunning backdrop of the Tagus River and the Bom Sucesso Dock from where the great Portuguese Navigators set sail.
